Here are the details of my current coding projects - I'm not a career programmer, but I've ended up producing quite a lot of code over the years. If a job's worth doing...

Apart from the plugins, all software is PC-only, and requires the .NET framework - downloadable here.

ZedAlpha

ZedAlpha allows multi-channel computer monitoring and control of Zaxcom digital radio microphones.

It's been used on the West End productions of Cabaret, Rent, Sunday in the Park with George, and Little Shop of Horros, and the tours of Producers, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, High School Musical, and High School Musical 2.

At Orbital Sound, we own well over a thousand ways of radio microphone, in-ear monitor and and radio comms. As the vast majority of it is out working on shows most of the time, the job of keeping all of it working and calibrated is not inconsiderable, to say the least.

I am at the proof-of-concept stage of developing an application that targets Aeroflex's PXI system to allow the fully automated testing of radio receiving and transmitting hardware.

Software-based demodulation will allow for the analysis and comparison of manufacturer-specific modulation and companding schemes.

The needs of theatre sound designers are often substantially different from those of studio engineers/producers. Unfortunately, most plugins are aimed at the latter, so I'm in the process of writing some bits and bobs to hopefully fill that gap...
